He served in the United States Air Force Medical Corps as an orthopedic surgeon at Wright Patterson Air Force Base, Dayton, OH.

He was in private practice of orthopedic surgery in East Lansing, MI for more than 30 years. He is author of numerous scientific articles and several textbooks. He is a popular lecturer.

He was founder of an orthopedic surgical company he held for 20 years and subsequently sold to large international company in 2002.

Now retired from clinical practice since 1995, he is devoted to research and development in medicine.

Andrew Pittsley is IHN's software architect. He received a degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Engineering at Michigan State University in 1987. He has been developing computer software since 1979.

Andrew has been instrumental in the development of IHN's software since 1983 and has been involved in a number of medical research projects.

Dr. Johnson and Andrew Pittsley were visionaries when they collaborated on development of Benevolent Dictator EMR in the mid 1980's.
