OFFICE PERSONNEL:
NO SPECIAL COMPUTER KNOWLEDGE IS NECESSARY.
The computer skill level necessary to operate word processing or data entry programs on a micro computer should be sufficient to master this software program. It is not necessary to be a medical transcriptionist, but knowledge of medical terms is helpful.
An individual with community college training in computers will become proficient in less than a month.

COMPUTER HARDWARE (EQUIPMENT):
Our software system runs on IBM-PC compatible computers using MS-DOS 3.0 or above operating system. A hard disk storage device is required for optimal operation.
A laserjet printer can be used for high speed and high quality. Our software is designed to adapt to any printer that can be attached to IBM compatible equipment.
You should consider a surge protector power strip as part of your hardware purchase.

PAPER SUPPLIES (STATIONERY):
Most of the reports are printed on plain white paper. This may be continuous computer paper or separate sheets depending on your choice of printer. Your existing letterhead can most likely be used with this computer program. The program allows you to adjust the margins of the letters and reports.

FURNITURE AND OFFICE SPACE:
A 3' x 5' desk top at typing height and a comfortable typist chair are required. Any space that accommodates furniture and equipment, similar to bookkeeping or other data entry areas, should be adequate.

COMMUNICATIONS (PHONES):
Not necessary for installation.
